To mark the launch of their new video streaming platform tenplay, Network Ten have announced that it will stream the first episode of the US terrorism series Homeland's new series online while it premieres on television in North America.
Claiming it to be an “Australian first”, Ten will stream the episode on their tenplay website and app from 2.15pm AEST on Monday, September 30, to any internet user in Australia.
Right now it's just for the first episode. We'll see what people do, see what numbers we attract and see what the broadcast outcome is.
This equates to 9.15pm Sunday night in Los Angeles; meaning Australians can watch as its premiering in the United States after only a 15-minute delay.
