Championship side Workington Town have renewed their development partnership with Super League side Wigan Warriors.

The dual-registration deal was formalised between clubs in March.

Wigan forward Greg Burke, who has joined Hull KR on loan for 2015, was among a number of players who spent time with the Cumbrians last season.

"We are very comfortable trusting Workington with our players ," Warriors general manager Kris Radlinski told the club website.

Phil Veivers, a former Wigan assistant coach, was appointed Workington boss earlier this year.

The ex-Salford boss, who took over at Derwent Park following Gary Charlton's resignation, led Workington to a top-eight finish in England's second-tier competition.

"Phil Veivers understands what Shaun Wane wants from his players so there is no confusion as to how they should be playing," said Radlinski.
