It's a long way from the meth labs of Breaking Bad but Emmy-winning star Bryan Cranston has decided on his next move in television, a guest role in How I Met Your Mother.
Cranston began playing the now iconic character Walter White when the series first aired in 2008 and he has won three Emmy awards for the role (though he missed out this year in what was perceived as a shock win by Jeff Daniels for The Newsroom).
His role in How I Met Your Mother was confirmed by CBS on Twitter, with the hashtag #BreakingMother, say reports from US publications including The Hollywood Reporter.

Being on the set of the comedy show is not new for Cranston. He appeared on How I Met Your Mother six years ago and this year will reprise the same character, Hammond Druthers, a loathed boss.
