Leading nutritionist Rosemary Stanton has slammed a decision by Network Ten to have a McDonald's outlet on the set of their new breakfast show Wake Up, saying the fast food giant is aggressively targeting Australian families.
''Will they stop at nothing?'' she said, about the deal between Ten and the fast food giant.
''It becomes part of the furniture, it normalises this whole idea that it's perfectly normal to have McDonald's for breakfast - and that is not normal, nor is it desirable,'' Dr Stanton said. ''It is a huge problem.''
Ten has announced what they describe as "an innovative" partnership with McDonald's Australia to create the nation's smallest fast food outlet on the set of its new breakfast show, which is yet to air.
